Description
This cultivar has small heart shaped leaves, in brightest lime green— in fact it is known as a Lime tree in Europe. Flowers are fragrant in June, bee heaven… and she keeps her fresh green through the height of summer, ending in a swan song of gold before leaf fall in late November announces onset of winter. So graceful with her tall slender stature and long delicate branches swaying in the breezes of the PNW. My first bonsai attempt was this species, and I have always loved her gentle aspect. Ten years old, in a round with a new glaze from Michigan’s Teresa Wooden, whose ceramics grace bonsai in museum collections.
