Fall colors abound in the bonsai garden this week! After last week’s show from the Eastern Sumac, a steady progression of brilliant color changes accompany the visitor as the Japanese Maples and Hornbeams begin their journey into the winter season’s rest. There’s a feast for the eyes and you are welcome to visit — just call first to set a time. We got “on the map” for local art patrons and enthusiasts this month with two weekends of steady attention due to the listing in Portland Open Studios– our premiere art event. For this “newby” exhibitor it was a feast of conversations about bonsai and appreciation of my growing collection of specimens for sale. Hoping to do it again next year!
Next month will find me in Seattle for the first of the holiday season’s art shows– after a foray to the wilds of Wilsonville and the Charbonneau Art Festival– a fundraiser for Wilsonville and Canby schools’ art programs.
