Littlest bonsai gives big impression in new pottery.
My Privet bonsai– Ligustrum ovalifolium– native to Korea and Japan– has beautiful fall color, changing from mostly golden-green to crimson over the season, depending on the weather. It is deciduous in my climate– Zone 6B– and holds its leaves til the first hard frost before going to bare branches for the winter. Lovely tear shaped srping growth is brightest lemony-green, making this a species with three season interest. Smooth light grey bark and good branching structure makes if a favorite for bonsai, as this twelve year old specimen demonstrates. New handbuilt pottery container by Portland ceramic artist Sherri Aytche complets the presentation. SOLD
