Acer palmatum “Murasaki Kyohime”– Japanese Maple

This maple features the tiny leaves with pink edging of this unique cultivar. Found in a garden many years ago, it was culled and sat languishing until I was offered it for sale in 2017. I have restored it to full health and discovered its identity by scouring the “Bible” for Japanese Maples, by Ernest Vertrees. Now about twenty five years old, it is offered in a vintage Bruning planter– bought directly from the potter’s studio for this tree.
