Our first Open Garden of the year, is set for Saturday, April 25th and Sunday, April 26th, and will proceed as planned. We’ll be welcoming visitors to the display garden to wander under the dawn redwood and enjoy the large variety of flowering bonsai and conifers. Camellias and Azaleas are in bloom, and Lilacs are coming on!

We have permission to be in business from the Oregon Nursery Association, and will be showcasing incredible bonsai specimens, both from my private collection and for sale. Please bear with us as we figure out the logistics of “social distancing” in our tiny Portland landscape. We will be scheduling visitors one at a time at the front of the driveway, to allow maximum freedom to view all the bonsai on display. Unfortunately we can’t offer our traditional lemonade and popcorn fare– but we’ll have the coffee on and the welcome mat proudly out!

The garden will be exceptionally beautiful, with the first blooms already evident on rhododendrons and lilacs, and many new shade loving perennials and ferns in our freshly designed beds. The trees will be displaying their new raiment–Japanese Maples, Azaleas and Rhododendron species, Conifers and Hydrangeas are all waking up to welcome visitors as the season progresses.
