This beautiful specimen is actually two dwarf shrubs growing into one design over time. The Lorapetalum is a stellar performer in early spring, sending its halo of crimson above reddish tinged leaves. Evergreen in our climate (zone 7a), Chinese Fringeflower is a prolific bloomer. In winter the leaves take on a purplish cast, making a statement in the landscape. The early emerging flower spikes stand in contrast to the muted foliage color, making a stunning display. This cultivar is aptly named “Sizzling Pink.”
