This November I will again be doing the garden club circuit— my favorite haunt for finding hidden bonsai enthusiasts and future students— with an invitation to present at Happy Valley club’s last event of the year. The kind organizers have also scheduled a tour of the bonsai garden and studio here for next May, when most trees are at their peak. At present, after a Summer of extremes… again… they are looking a bit ragged. So it’s into the corral and under the mulch we go before winter’s roller coaster of ice storms and hail returns. Meanwhile, I’m so looking forward to offering a PowerPoint overview of the art of bonsai, to club members.
