This bonsai favorite has been recently styled for the first time, after growing out for about a decade. Vigorous, but fairly slow growing, this species is characterized by glossy, brightly hued evergreen foliage, tiny needles and good ramification. Creating structure from the many “fishtail” branches is the challenge…. Deeply fissured red bark and wonderful aroma of resin and sap make this a glorious choice for miniaturizing. Featured in a classic lovely round Japanese stoneware container.
