Korean Hornbeam –Carpinus turczaninowii

This forty-year-old tree has been rescued from its near demise due to neglect in a hot summer. Originally a field grown nursery specimen from the famed Wee Trees Nursery, it was trained as a bonsai about fifteen years ago. Now in its glory days, this tree has matured to a deeply aged fine wine, as it were…. Presented in a round high fired procelain dish created by Larry Bruning of Bruning Studio in Snohomish Washington. Larry is no longer making bonsai vessels, so this is a unique presentation. An exhibition worthy specimen at the height of its development, it is sure to delight a new owner for many years and be passed to another generation with pride. On site sale only– local delivery available by special arrangement. Sorry, due to weight and size, cost of shipping is prohibitive for this specimen. 42” high.
