The Burmese Flame Maple– Acer ginnala — is well known for its astonishing color changes as fall devolves to winter. This specimen, about twenty year old now, has found its forever home in a refined stoneware container from Natasha Borodovsky, a well-known bonsai potter from Portland who is a consummate craftsman, with beautiful detailing and classic proportions to her designs. Her specialty is the Chinese style “cloud feet” which grace many of her containers.
