A sweet tropical for a sunny windowsill indoors.

Sageretia is a native of Brazil, with glossy foliage and a habit of putting forth flowers and fruit–hence its Chinese nickname of “Bird Plum.” Easy to train in the traditional curved-trunk style, it is a staple of the indoor bonsai market. Tender below 60 degrees, Bird Plum cannot withstand cool nights, so a covered porch in summer and indoors with good light in winter is recommended. This specimen, about twelve years old, is presented in handthrown pottery from Bruning Studios. SOLD
